Reading brand size charts

A Catalog filter gets you to products that exist in a numeric size. The brand’s size chart decides whether that size fits you.

A quick pass

1. Find bust / waist / hip (and inseam for pants or jumpsuits) on the brand chart.
2. Measure yourself the same way the chart describes (tape level, don’t suck in).
3. If you’re between sizes, read the brand’s fit notes — some run small, some run large.
4. Ignore what another brand’s “16” felt like last year. Charts don’t transfer.

Vanity sizing

Brands assign different body measurements to the same label. That’s why we say prefer clear charts and buy on the brand site after you check — not because Catalog is wrong, but because labels alone aren’t enough.

Numeric vs 1X / 2X

Some plus lines use `1X`/`2X` instead of (or in addition to) 14–22. Catalog filters match the published Size string. Our shortlists use numeric values (`"14"`…`"22"`) on purpose; they won’t pull SKUs that only list letter/plus codes unless the merchant also tags the numeric size.
